Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: October 2026

Affinitee is for adults looking for a relationship. This policy sets out what is not allowed, how to report it and what we do about it. It is part of our Terms & Conditions.

1. Who can use Affinitee

You must be 18 or older. Each person may have one account, in their own name, with their own photo and truthful answers to the test.

If an ID check shows you are under 18, your account is paused and your upcoming event places are cancelled while our team takes a look.

2. What is not allowed

  • Any sexual content involving someone under 18, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and any attempt to groom, sexually exploit or abuse a child. We close the account and report it to the police.
  • Human trafficking, sex trafficking or any other sexual exploitation of a person, or helping someone else to do it.
  • Sexual violence, or threatening, encouraging or glorifying it.
  • Sharing intimate or sexual images or videos of someone without their consent, including edited or AI-generated ones, or threatening to share them.
  • Sexually explicit content of any kind, including but not limited to nudity, pornography, and depictions or descriptions of sexual acts, whether in images, video, audio or text, and whether in a profile, photo, introduction, message or any other content uploaded to, sent through or shared on Affinitee. This prohibition applies regardless of whether the content is shared with the consent of, or at the request of, the recipient or any other person.
  • Sexually-driven conduct of any kind, including but not limited to soliciting, offering, seeking, arranging or facilitating sexual activity, sexual encounters or casual sexual relationships, sexting, and the exchange of sexual content, whether or not all persons involved are consenting adults. Affinitee may be used only to seek a genuine romantic relationship.
  • Scams or any other fraud meant to take money, personal details or account access from members, such as phishing links or fake investment schemes.
  • Asking another member for money, gifts, loans, gift cards, cryptocurrency or bank or card details, or offering them an investment or a way to earn money. This is how most romance scams work, and we treat it as one.
  • Offering or asking for sexual services, escorting or paid companionship.
  • Advertising or selling anything.
  • Using Affinitee if you are under 18.
  • Creating a fake profile, pretending to be someone else, or using another person's photos.
  • A name that suggests you work for Affinitee, or that includes contact details, a link or a social media handle.
  • Harassing, threatening, intimidating or stalking anyone, including after they have stopped replying.
  • Hateful content that attacks people for who they are.
  • Sending sexual messages or images to someone who has not asked for them.
  • Sharing someone's personal details, messages or photos without their permission.
  • Moving a conversation to another app in order to deceive or pressure someone.
  • Spam, copied messages sent to many members, or bots, scrapers and other automated tools.
  • Anything illegal, or encouraging someone else to break the law.

3. Staying safe

Never send money to someone you have met online, however convincing the reason. Swap socials only when you are ready: you choose which ones to share, and the other member sees them only once they share theirs. The first time you meet, choose a public place and tell someone you trust where you will be.

4. Reporting a member

  • A chat. Use the report option in the chat. The conversation closes straight away, the other member can no longer contact you on Affinitee or see the socials you swapped, and the full conversation goes to our team for review. If you swapped socials, block them in those apps too. A report also blocks the other member, in both directions: neither of you appears in the other's matches, neither can open the other's match page or full report, even one already bought, and neither can start a new chat with the other. We do not email the other member about your report. If we act on it, we tell them the outcome, never your name.
  • A photo. Use the report option on the match page. We review every report and may hide the photo while we do.
  • Anything else. Email us at matchmaker@affinitee.eu.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 112 first.

5. Limits on unwanted contact

Starting a chat is free, and each member can have at most 3 chats they started waiting for a first reply, so nobody can message large numbers of members at once.

Every chat opens with an introduction: short answers to two or three of our questions, with no links, contact details or social media handles. Nothing else can be sent until the other person replies.

Socials can be swapped only once the other person has replied, and only both ways at once. A member can ask at most a few times a day, and members who were recently reported cannot swap.

6. What we do

Depending on how serious it is, we may warn you, remove a photo or other content, close a conversation, suspend your account, or close it permanently and refuse a new one. We act without warning when someone's safety is at risk or the behaviour is clearly fraudulent.

Our team reads every report and the conversation it concerns. A warning comes by email and changes nothing on your account. A suspension lasts 7 or 30 days, depending on what happened: your profile is hidden, your open conversations are closed, and you cannot chat or register for events. A closed account stays closed. In every case you can still log in to download your data or delete your account, and we email you the outcome without saying who reported you.

If you think we got it wrong, write to us at matchmaker@affinitee.eu and we will review the decision.

Where we believe a crime has been committed or someone is at risk, we may report it to the police, as described in our law enforcement policy.
